The scarf as the new necklace

Correct me if i'm wrong but it's a long time ago that the scarf only had a functional purpose. 
Now a days it not only completes your look, but the scarf has taken over the necklace.

From skinny scarf to bandana, they are all ready to decorate your neck. 
I can tell it is definitely worth to try it!  For the ones who can't say goodbye to the necklace, it's also a lot of fun to combine the 2 pieces together.

Pop-up patches

The colorful nineties trend is back!

I still remember that time when i was a kid, playing around in my new jeans. Then it happened, WHOOPSIE !  Ripped my trousers. My mom was disappointed in me, but i still had to wear them.

The fun part begins, i could choose from a wide range of colorful badges that she bought for me. After i made a choice, my mom stitched all the different patches on my pants so nobody knew that my jeans were torn. The positive side of this all, i actually liked my pants better then before. When you grow older the badges were not that cool anymore, so my love for this casual trend was flown away.

Until i saw the street style during fashion month with badges and patches everywhere. I felt relieved,  one of my favorite old school trends are heading his way back. I have to admit i made a little jump of joy on the inside. The most amazing thing about this trend is you can do it yourself. Buy some patches and pimp that jeans, jacket, bag or even your shoes. The more badges the better.

Spotted hairtrend; Braided pigtails

Elegant, playfull, chique and fun are the thoughts when i see braided hair. 

There are a lot of varieties, from really tight braided to lose and puffy. You can decide which one will look best on your total look. I would recommend the tight braids for a more classy style. 
The lose braided pigtails would be a lovely during a festival or park concert. It kind of gives you that hippie, flower power look. If you love to spice up your braids, attach some strings of leather or even a bandana in your hair and braid it all together. 

The look would amaze you, and to be honest it's easy to make even if you don't have a lot of time.

Balmain you rock!

During fashion month it's always chaotic, there are so many fashion shows, so much fashionable outfits on the street and so little time.

Now fashion month is over i took my time to look quietly at all the amazing new pieces that were shown on the runway.  My one and only favorite this fashion month was the show of Balmain. The romantic style combined with metallic details and the overdone silhouette gives this collection a new look.

I don't know how Oliver Rousteing does it, but everytime i see his work i get this magical feeling inside. A feeling full of joy and pride, on the other hand it makes me quite sad. Sad to know that i would probably never ever can afford his creations. 

However i would love to show you my favorite looks during Balmain fashionshow in Paris.

Why monochromatic outfits are amazing

When you think wearing one color is boring, then think again.

Monochromatic outfits are trendy, chique and most of all a feast for the eyes. Most of the time, the outfits have different textures and similar shades of one color. 

You can definitely spice your look with accessories of different colors. If you like to wear a more classy look, I would recommend to look for items in the same color range as your clothes. When you want to give your outfit a more playful twist, go colorful on your accessories. 

Watch out, to much color can really kill your monochromatic look. Remember, black or white always work!

Spring must haves : The flat mule

Don't we all love to be fashionable and comfy, well then you must love the flat mule.
I know this is not the first time we see this backless shoe style. 
But I have to admit, i didn't like them in the first place. After a little research and a lot of inspiration looks, it seems like the flat mule has a place in my heart.

It looks like my 2 walkers are also really happy with the flat mule. Say goodbye to painful feet and sprained ankles. 

The mule will give your outfit a casual look, easy to combine with a pair of jeans, short or even under a skirt they will look fabulous.

Also known as the flight jacket, that originally was created for military pilots. 

Now a days you can not live without one, they are everywhere.
